Dear Yemchristmas-thank-you.jpg

Finally an opportunity to wish you and all our customers, suppliers and entertainers a very happy and safe holiday.

It has been a busy year but we've really enjoyed the diverse challenges including a party with over 100 babies and toddlers, a disco for an entire class and many more!

Our pirates, princess and fairies continue to be popular choices for many kids as well as the old fashion party games.  We have had so much fun along the way.

We have an exciting new service available next year - an event crèche service - perfect for weddings, milestone birthdays and anniversaries, corporate functions and conferences. The perfect solution to childcare issues for children ages one to thirteen. Adults can relax knowing the kids are being looked after at the venue with all the entertainment included.

Click here to find out more about this fantastic new service.

You may also want to consider our Activity Packs to keep kids busy if a crèche service is not available at the event.  The packs are great value with games and activities to suit the age group. For a sample of the pack, click here.

We will be having a break and some family time from 25 December until 18 January 2010. Only limited party planning will occur in this time. If you are planning an event during this time, please contact us and we will try our best to assist in some way.

Enjoy the summer holidays with the kids.

We hope the new year brings you good health, wealth and lots of magical moments!

Wishing you all a happy and safe holiday!

Yem and family

Look forward to hearing from you again in 2010!

Added below are a couple of yummy recipes that the kids will love to make and eat.

Gingerbread Santa Cookies

Ingredientsgingerbread.jpg

  • 1 Cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 Cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 Cup black strap molasses
  • 1 Teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 Teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 Teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 Teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 Teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Method

  1. Add butter and sugar into a mixing bowl and beat until smooth. Beat in egg and molasses.
  2. Sift together dry ingredients and beat into mixture until thoroughly combined. You may have to knead in final cup of flour if mixture is too thick.
  3. Cover dough in plastic wrap and chill for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray a baking sheet with a non-stick cooking spray.
  5. Roll out dough on a heavily floured surface to 1/8-inch thickness.
  6. Cut out gingerbread men with cookie cutters. Place 1 inch apart on prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until done.  Remove cookies from oven and cool thoroughly.
Use decorator's icing in red, white, and green to make the cookies look like Santa! Add Christmas sprinkles and candies to give his outfit some pizzazz.
